The Marble Slab - Sports Medicine Bantam AAA Colts were on the road this weekend for games in Whitby and Ajax.
The Colts were looking to rebound after a tough 3-2 road loss in Orillia Thursday night against the Preds.
The Colts were in Whitby on Saturday to face a Whitby team who is rolling and coming off a great win against Kingston. The Colts pushed the pace during the game and created a number of great scoring chances. In the second period, Ben Beausaert found the back of the net and that proved to be all the Colts needed as Jacob Ingham shut the door for the shut out as the Colts took the game 1-0.
On Sunday, the Colts were in Ajax to face the Raiders. The Raiders have shown lately that they can compete with any team in the league and Sundays contest proved no different. In what turned into a very physical game, the Colts scored 3 unanswered goals as Parker Simpson stood tall in net for the shutout and the Colts skated to a 3-0 road win.
The Colts are looking forward to some much needed rest as they are not back in action until Saturday.
The Colts will host the Richmond Hill Coyotes Saturday evening, 7:00 pm at the Innisfil Rec Complex.
